Happy Monday,
This is one crazy week we have ahead of us, with tons of street fairs, parties, festivals and carnivals. There are more than enough options for one to chose from. If your are in Chicago, looking for great events with thousands of people checkout www.chicagoevents.com. Those of you who have had enough of these local street fairs and markets that are ready for the big times, hit up biztradeshows.com. You can find information on local, regional, national and even foreign Trade Shows/Events.
With that being said you all you big shots, who are ready to shoot for the stars, July is a Big month in NYC, with Project, United Trade Show and Pool, but August has got it bet with FAME NYC the first week of August followed by MAGIC, Project, POOL, United and Millions of shows going down this season in Las Vegas, but we still have ASR and Agenda hosted in San Diego. Yeah, most of you may have never even heard of some of this shows. Before you go big, you got to read up on what your options are and what is required and if you want to make that major step smoothly. I suggest attending a show you are interested in to see the layout, talk to some of the sellers get a prospective of someone doing what you are planning to do. But if you are truly ready make sure you are ready with the following:
You must have:
Line sheets: (brochure, flier, document with images of your merchandise, with color options, size available, product/item number, per pack break down and please include a size chart)
If you are wondering what some of the items above are, that is not a good sign.
How many will I need?
As a new line playing with the majors you may find that buyers are very sure where they want to go. You only being an afterthought if you stand out enough. With that, depending on the size of the show I would say only 1% to 10% of the number attending will accept your materials, ie. 10,000 possible buyer is 100 to 1000, so producing 500 maybe a safe route, but if you plan to do a mailing campaign before or after your big trade event, it is more cost effective to produce a larger volume, more efficient way to go or even 250 depending on the length of the event, the more days, the more possibilities you may have for meeting new customers/buyers.
We will continue this story on Wednesday. Thanks!
